The environment created in these rooms ensure each little baby & young child we care for feel loved, secure and happy. Educators strive to build loving bonds with each child, creating a home away from home feel.

Ages in these rooms are between 6 weeks and 18 months. There are so many milestones reached within a child’s first years, so this room is created to cater to the needs of this age group.

We hope to ensure each child’s individual routine is met & this is obtained by our daily communication with families.

We encourage breast feeding mothers to feel free to feed as their child needs, so a comfy lounge area will always be ready in our room for you to use.

Encompassing both our indoor and outdoor environments, allows our programs to set environments for children, even at this young age, to have some outdoor time each day.

Parents are encouraged to bring in an outline of their child’s daily sleep and mealtime routine for educators to follow, so that children can be as settled as possible

We provide a daily information sheet for each child for parents and educators to fill out to ensure needs are clearly communicated.

Our babies and toddlers are offered a range of play experiences, including a variety of painting and tactile opportunities. They have a wonderful semi-shaded play area to themselves, but which adjoins the big playground so that they can see the other children at play, including their siblings.

Our toddlers are at such an amazing age; it is a marvelous time of a child’s life. They are so excited about the small things in life.

Our Dream room is a very busy room, as there is so much to explore, discover & learn at this age!! Educators create many open-ended experiences to keep our active toddlers engaged and ready to learn. Incorporating imaginative play, art, dance, music, blocks, puzzles, books, outdoor play……the learning through play is endless!!

We also love messy play including mud, clay, water, paint, glue & play dough (just to name a few!)

This age can also set a few challenges, with developmental transitions as toilet training & social skills, such as sharing and consideration of others. Educators are always here to listen, encourage families and give advice about any topics in which they may need assistance.

Inspire Room

For children aged 3 – 5 years

Children are required to be toilet trained for this room

What we provide:

– Sunscreen

– Nutritionally balanced meals including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon tea

– Bedding (if required)

Our Inspire Room provides great opportunities for our children to grow as active learners. Creating environments where children can learn both in both small and large group experiences.

We incorporate natural materials into all aspects of the program, such as vegie and herb gardens, composting & worm farms and centre pets. We guide the children’s learning to care for the environment & an appreciation of the world around them.

An abundance of open-ended experiences, allows this age group to make choices about their interests and educators actively work alongside children to extend on their learning outcomes.

We encourage experiences from the children’s home life into our program. We love when the children and families share about something special they have done at home, such as a holiday or a family celebration. Educators love to extend on these shared experiences and include them into the children’s program, giving your child a sense of belonging.

We encourage family participation too, so if someone in your household plays an instrument or has a special skill they would love to share, the children and educators are always happy to invite you to the Inspire Room.

As children move up into our Inspire room they have more opportunities with numeracy, literacy and longer group times. They also have the opportunity to share ‘news’ with the other children and develop confidence speaking in front of a group. They always have access to a literacy area where thay can draw and write, as well as a home corner with a wide variety of themes, interest tables, painting and craft, collage, and playdough.

Group music times are a favourite with this age group and they enjoy a wider choice and more autonomy in selecting and creating in a variety of experiences. In this room they are also becoming more independent with self-help skills.

Children are forming friendships between themselves, as well as educators encouraging children to find companionship with those that will be going to the same school.

While children are still catered for according to individual interests, we have a school readiness focus that offers children more specific tasks and experiences to prepare them for school.
